More interactive elements for luminato.com
Toronto’s Luminato Festival launches this week with an amazing set of opening weekend events. To support the launch, we’ve been busy with a few final projects. All of which lend to the idea of contemporary communication – a theme of this year’s festival.
The Great Canadian Tune
Visitors to luminato.com were able to vote for their choice of guitar classics to win the title of Great Canadian Tune. With real-time results and mirrored voting widgets on partner sites, over 18 000 votes were cast. Hundreds of people also used the on-site TWEET THIS function to post a comment to their twitter feed. www.luminato.com/gct
My Luminato
What better way to engage people than to allow them control over their own page where they can add events, solicit comments from their friends and even customize their page to suit their own artistic tastes. After working on this project for so long, I forgot to create my own page but have now – you can check out my page at gregw.luminato.com/
Photo Galleries
Launching with the festival are a number of photo galleries. This is just one more way that the Luminato audience can share and contribute to www.luminato.com. Some of these galleries are set up to allow people to email photos directly to the gallery. This can be done from your desktop or, more timely, from your mobile phone or PDA. Imagine being at an event, snapping a pic and by the time you get home, it has been added to the gallery and you’ve been immortalized!
Hope to see you all at some of the Luminato events this year.
